I first read about the 2012 end of the world stuff when I was a wee girl, and it always stuck with me. It didn't occur to me that at any point the year 2012 would happen. Ha! Time does not pass, we remain in 1986 forever!!!
... yeah.
I'm not terribly familiar with the state of things now, but I understand the Mayan calendar ends when it does because that's the end of a cycle, not the end of the world. But I could be wrong.
Mostly, I like to learn new things. So, yay, learning!
